come on, you can't seriously try and tell me that people have chains for any reason other than image. what's the point in them? they look stupid, they are stupid and if i hear that fucking "it's attached to my wallet" excuse off one more person i'm gonna grab the chain, snatch the wallet and show them just how fucking easy it is to nick a wallet off someone with a shitty chain, you might as well just wear a big sign that says "i have a wallet in my left pocket". honestly, kids today, eh?

i think you'll find chains have been around along time, ppl use toi wear them in the 18th century to stop ppl stealing or losing keys and wallets, the police use them and so do prison guards.

so there, i'm sure ppl could think of lots of other uses for chains, but the list would go on for ages.

I agree with Jon..chains have been used for ages. I occassionally wear a chain but not as a big loop across the side of my leg but more for when I have my wallet in my back pocket because at least then if someone tries to pick pocket me I will feel them try and break the chain and have a chance to stop them. It is especially useful on busy city streets.
